Biography

I am a freelance copywriter with a business degree who has started and managed a handful of small businesses through the years.

I ran my own ESL language training school for a few years before moving to the logistics industry as a trucking contractor.

In the last few years, I have found that my strength is in helping small businesses to attract and retain happy, loyal customers.



After training myself as a copywriter and marketing consultant, I am now exclusively focused on helping small business owners plan and implement marketing strategies that are affordable and highly effective.

My Marketing and Copywriting Philosophy

Writing project should be linked to a part in your marketing funnel sequence. Should somehow be related to achieving a marketing-related goal.

 

 

Copywriting and content marketing  are meant to eventually generate sales.

This type of writing has nothing to do with writing novels or other types of creative or academic writing.

Following proven sales formulas and structures is more important than being ultra trendy and creative.

Your marketing should reflect your true self, instead of trying to please everybody.

Clients who insist on tight deadlines are usually bad clients.  Effective marketing and copywriting require detailed research, analysis, writing and editing.

Content marketing pieces such as blogs and videos should educate your potential customers, not just entertain them.

SEO (search engine optimization) and other passive inbound marketing methods are not enough for small businesses to attract more customers.

You still need to advertise and promote using outbound marketing methods.

Marketing automation is useless if you apply the wrong marketing and sales strategies to the wrong target customers.

Repetitive marketing messages are effective, even if some people consider them boring and lacking in creativity.

The clearer you are about your ideal customer, the more effective your marketing campaigns will be.

 

 

How I Prepare for Copywriting Projects

  1. Study current and past ads from your main competitors
  2. Study your existing marketing materials
  3. Ask questions about your audience, product / service, and the objective of your writing project
  4. Determine where you are facing challenges
  5. Research your industry: common challenges, demographics, trends, etc.
  6. Use my research to come up possible ideas to use in your digital marketing project
  7. I will discuss my ideas with you before starting the assignment
  8. Create an outline of the project and send it out for approval
  9. Submit each main portion of the copywriting project and submit for approval
